Screen Descriptions

The Home Screen / First Screen.

In the First Screen, which is the home screen where the time shows – we can consider the home screen.  This screen shows the current time, your most recent heart beat per minute reading and your step / movement count for the day.

It also shows the battery charge and the date along with the Bluetooth status.

The Second Screen | Health and Activity Mode

The Second Screen is the fitness screen which tracks the steps, the distance and the calories burned while wearing the watch.  This data is gather from wearing the watch and when it is brand new, it wont have anything to report on.  But as you wear the watch, this screen will provide a lot of valuable information regarding your activity and be a great tool to help you increase your activity level and set new goals.

You can control this screen with the app on your phone.

The Third Screen | Detection Mode

This screen contains is the detection level / screen and contains the heart beat per minute tracking application, the tool to estimate your blood pressure and the sleep patterns monitoring app.

To access this, use the silver button to navigate to the DETECTION SCREEN and then hold it down for two seconds to access the applications in this screen.

The first screen is the heart beat monitor screen.  This cues the device to measure your heartbeat at that specific moment ( even though the watch is continually measuring your heart beat every few minutes ).

In this mode, the watch will measure your heart beat.  You do not have to hold down the silver button for this measurement to take place.

The next screen is the blood pressure measurement.  This screen provides both the Systolic and the Diastolic measurements of an accurate blood pressure test. Its important to note that the Cardiac Watch is engineered to provide and estimate on your blood pressure levels based on your heart beat rate, and a variety of other elements the device detects in your body.

If the watch is on your wrist, in this screen, it will automatically measure your blood pressure and you don’t need to access any other screens.

The next screen in this is the sleep monitoring screen.
This screen works by measuring your sleep habits in both how your cardiac function works, your EKG measurements as well as your actual physical movements.

Its engineered to determine how soundly and calmly you sleep. This measures your depth of sleep, your general or light sleep levels and then your sober or your awake sleep patterns.

When the watch is new, it will not provide a reading for the sleep function. When you wear it to bed and sleep with the device – it will provide you with a reading.

To exit this screen, tap the silver button until you get to the return screen, then hold the silver button down for two seconds and you will be returned to the screen from which you just came.

The Fourth Screen | Heart Rate Variability Mode

The fourth screen on your watch is the HRV or Heart Rate Variability mode which is designed to measure the regularity of your heart beat in a 60 second test period.

Keep in mind that even if your heart beats 60 times in 60 seconds – it does not mean that it is beating at one beat per second.  In fact it may beat a few times quickly, and then only once in the next two seconds.  This is called Heart Rate Variability and will show your current state of arrhythmia.

To access this feature, navigate to the screen that says HRV and hold your finger down on the silver button for two seconds.  This will launch the HRV application.  This application works by measuring your electronic EKG pattern as well as your pulse to determine the variability in your heart beat pattern.  While the test is taking place you can see the red graph meter on the screen of your device showing you the gaps between heart beats.   Once the test is completed, it will provide you a detailed readout on the screen ( which is very small and is best viewed in the app )

If you tap the silver button while on this first report screen – it will take you a second screen where it will show you your levels for the following

HRV | Heart Rate Variablity

RPAI | The relation of the human body’s nervous system and the natural beating pattern of your heart.

MSI | Myocardial salvage index which is the estimated recovery of blood flow from one part of your body to another.

BPM | Beats per minute your heart is running at.

The HRV function of the device is one of it’s most powerful features and can provide you detailed estimates on your heart function.  It should not be taken as an exact result but only as a insight into your HRV function.  If you have any concerns about your HRV or any other function of your heart – you should seek medical assistance and not rely on any single home device including the Cardiac Watch.
